Upcoming Fall Activities near Rancho Cucamonga

The fall in Southern California is just as fabulous as the those who don’t live in California image it is….  We are don’t have the winter chill that forces us to stay indoors. Our fall season weather welcomes us and our neighbors to embrace the outdoors with open arms!  Rancho Cucamonga, located in the Inland Empire, perfectly situated 30 minutes from the beach, mountains, and LA.  Location is everything, the possibilities that are endless.  Here are some of our favorite fall activities; participating in Rancho Cucamonga founder’s parade, Fridays Farmers’ Market, apple picking at Oak Glen apple orchards and the annual Village Venture in Claremont.  

 

Marching on! 2017 Founder’s Parade

The City of Rancho Cucamonga’s Founders Day Parade is quickly approaching. The parade gives the residents of Rancho Cucamonga the opportunity to show their love for their community by lining the streets to cheer on their favorite group or float.  The theme this year is: 40 Years of Hometown Heroes – Honoring Our Veterans and Local Heroes.   At the end of the parade there is an award ceremony. Applications to participate in the parade must be received by October 1st, don’t delay it you would like to join us in showing your Rancho Cucamonga pride!

Date: Saturday, November 11th

Farmer’s market in Rancho Cucamonga

Take a fresh approach to shopping! Every Friday on South Main Street from 10am-2pm get that countryside feeling when they step into the farmer’s market at the Victoria Gardens outdoor mall in Rancho Cucamonga.  Heaps of fresh organic produce, gourmet breads, pastries, meats, honey and even flowers to adorn your dinner table. Enjoy browsing the other booths of homemade custom jewelry and crafts and other must haves.

Claremont-Village Venture Fair

Seize the day and join over 15,000 visitors to the 36th Village Venture, Autumn’s largest arts and craft fair in the Inland Empire. Located on the beautiful tree-lined streets of the Claremont Village, hundreds of booths will, once again, be filled with unique art, handmade crafts and international cuisine. Village business owners look forward to showcasing their unique shops and tempting visitors to taste the culinary delights. The day begins with a children’s Halloween costumes parade on the corner of Bonita & Harvard Avenues at 9:15am.  Don’t forget to bring your pre-carved pumpkins to the Claremont Sunrise Rotary Booth located at the corner of Harvard Ave. and Bonita Ave, between 8:30-9:30am to be entered into the Pre-Carved Pumpkin Contest.  All I can say is “come hungry, leave happy!”

Ready to bite into a crunchy apple?!

Fall is the perfect time to enjoy a day outdoors at the Oak Glen apple orchards. The weather is mild enough so that one can enjoy a complete day of apple picking at the orchard, tour the petting farm, shop and dine. There are over 30 independently owned & operated businesses in a 5 mile loop. Enjoy handpicking the best organic apples in town, order a slice of homemade apple pie ala mode. Try the freshly pressed fresh cider, buy two or more so you can share with a friend and have one to  relish over the month.
