With Halloween just around the corner, It’s the perfect time to check out your local pumpkin patch and bring home a few to turn into jack-o’-lanterns! But where should you go to get your spooky gourds?
Right here in Rancho Cucamonga, there’s one of Cali’s largest and best-reviewed spots, Stu Miller’s Pumpkin Patch. Not only does Miller’s patch have thousands of locally-grown pumpkins, there are bouncy houses, slides, and obstacle courses. Miller’s patch is a one-stop-shop for kids’ Halloween fun. In addition to the sideshow attractions and rides, there’s something for adults too. Stu’s hosts fundraising events for local charities, churches, schools, etc. This is also the closest patch to the Upland, Fontana, and Ontario areas.
Miller’s isn’t the only patch around, though. Enchanted Country Pumpkins in San Dimas also features inflatable rides, fun fair games, and a petting zoo. Also, they have a shop with Halloween decor and costumes galore, so you can get the rest of your Halloween shopping out of the way after you’ve picked out your pumpkins. Enchanted Country is just a short distance from La Verne and Claremont as well, although Claremont is just as close to Stu Miller’s patch.
If you’re planning on going down to Corona or Redlands, there’s The Pumpkin Factory, which features a giant corn maze instead of the typical Halloween hay-bale maze. The maze has over 12,000 feet of walkable paths, and includes puzzles the wanderer must figure out. Any “Maze Masters” who make it through receive a prize. In addition to the rides and slides the other pumpkin patches offer, The Pumpkin Factory has a bungee jumping attraction!
Just a bit further south, and right next to Eastvale, there’s another Stu Miller pumpkin patch in Mira Loma! This patch has all the action-packed excitement of Miller’s Rancho Cucamonga location, as the Miller pumpkin patch is a “chain” of sorts, with venues all across California and Nevada.
Last, but not least, if you’re making a trip from Rancho Cucamonga to the LA area, there’s a great pumpkin patch in in Pasadena. The Pasadena Pumpkin Patch has all the rides and trimmings of the aforementioned patches, and plus, their website includes an online coupon deal for $5 off a $25+ purchase of pumpkins!
Wherever you decide to go this year for your pumpkins (and why only stop at one patch?) you can be sure there’s more than just pumpkins in store for you. With too many rides and attractions to count, the whole family will be pleased as punch – or, let’s say, “as a pumpkin.”
